Davidson County:

Communities In Action

NCAST and the Governor’s Highway Safety Program were pleased to host a traffic safety community forum in Davidson County. The forum, held in Denton, NC, was widely attended by citizens and local officials.

Many thanks to Pastor Charlie Collins of Denton Wesleyan Church for helping organize and host the event. Also, thanks to Senator Steve Jarvis and his assistant, Tracey Dantel, for attending this important traffic safety forum.

NCAST and GHSP are listening to your traffic safety concerns. Because of you, Davidson County is moving into action!

Traffic is increasing in Davidson County – and distracted driving is the number one killer on our roads.

Paying attention, understanding the rules of the road, decreasing speed, changing driver behavior, and advocating for safer roads all save lives and make a difference.

In particular, be aware on Old Highway 64 and Highway 109. With Davidson County’s growth comes more hazards, and these are dangerous highways.  Please pay greater attention when traveling on and around these highways.
