April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month! Your Durham Bulls remind you to put your phones down and focus on driving when behind the wheel.
What Is Distracted Driving?
Distracted driving is any activity that diverts attention from driving, including talking or texting on your phone, eating and drinking, talking to people in your vehicle, fiddling with the stereo, entertainment or navigation system — anything that takes your attention away from the task of safe driving.
The North Carolina Alliance for Safe Transportation (NCAST) was created with one goal in mind: to reduce the number of transportation-related crashes, injuries, and fatalities in North Carolina.
