A major focus of NCAST is promoting awareness of safety issues specific to younger motorists.
Teen drivers are especially at risk on the roads, with vehicle crashes the leading cause of death in America among those under 21.
The inexperience and impulsiveness of teen drivers is a significant reason for their high crash rates, making important the safety features of the vehicles they drive as well as getting plenty of supervised driving practice.
Our Mission
Rick Piece, Tiffany Wright, Joe Stewart, and Michael Gilchrist are presented with a check for $20,000 from Flagger Force, to support a public service ad campaign to promote better driving behavior in work zones on North Carolina roads and highways.
DON’T DRIVE DISTRACTED
April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month! A big thanks to IIANC and www.trustedchoice.com as we partner on an important driving safety effort with nine minor league baseball teams across North Carolina.
Hats off to these teams for helping raise awareness with video PSAs featuring their team mascots encouraging fans to avoid distractions behind the wheel so we can all get home safe!
